Grohe 25mm Extension Set for SmartControl — 14048000
The Grohe 14048000 is an authentic, factory-original 25mm extension kit engineered specifically for Grohe SmartControl and Grohtherm SmartControl concealed shower and bath mixer trim sets installed onto the Grohe Rapido SmartBox (35600000 / 35604000). When a concealed rough-in box has been tiled over or recessed too deeply into the wall cavity, the outer operating buttons, spindles, and trim plates cannot engage. This genuine extension set bridges that deficit by adding exactly 25mm of reach to internal push-turn spindles and mounting sleeves without needing to alter tilework or move the rough-in box.

Key Features
- Solves Deep Rough-In Installations: Compensates for concealed rough-in boxes fitted up to 25mm too deep behind the finished wall face.
- Maintains Push-Turn Functionality: Precision-milled internal spindle extensions preserve the smooth push-and-turn flow/volume action of SmartControl valves.
- Prevents Structural Rework: Eliminates the need to break finished wall tiles, cut back plasterboard, or reposition the in-wall plumbing box.
- 100% Genuine Grohe: Manufactured to exact OEM standards to ensure watertight seal compression and secure escutcheon mounting.
Installation Note
Ensure both hot and cold supplies are isolated before commencing trim assembly. The extension components connect directly between the Rapido SmartBox internal cartridge seats and the SmartControl outer faceplate assembly. Always verify that your rough-in box is installed straight and plumb before locking in the extended retaining sleeves to ensure the magnetic or clipped outer trim sits completely flush against the finished tile surface.
