Technical Resources

Questions & Answers

Q: Does this syphon have an internal overflow?
A: Yes. It can act as an internal overflow device provided the spillover point is lower than any external holes (like the lever hole) in the cistern.

Q: How do I fit this to a close-coupled toilet?
A: Ensure the threaded tail is trimmed back to 2-3mm from the back nut to prevent the flush from being throttled.

Q: How does a dual flush syphon work?
A: Release the lever for a full flush. Hold the lever down to break the syphonic action early, providing a reduced water-saving flush.

Q: What are the white plugs on the side for?
A: These adjust the flush volume. Removing a plug will stop the flush at that level, reducing the total volume of water used.
