HELP WITH DIAGNOSING YOUR FLUSH VALVE ISSUES:

If your toilet keeps running like it's on a mission to empty the tank but doesn’t (hello, running water!), here's a simple test:

1. Turn off the water supply to the cistern (either from the stopcock or the isolating valve).
2. Leave it off for up to an hour.
3. Does the cistern empty? If yes, then you probably need a new seal or flush valve. If no, the inlet/fill valve is likely the culprit.

• Pro tip: Replacing the diaphragm is an affordable first step – often solves the problem! Just be sure to clean out any limescale or grit from the valve while you’re at it.
